Symptoms after you stop prednisone

Welcome @rubonimo, Without a specific diagnosis I'm not sure anyone can answer your questions. Hopefully someone with similar experiences can respond. I've had PMR twice and the first time it took me 3 and half years to taper off of prednisone. Do your doctors suspect PMR? Did your starting dose of prednisone get rid of most or all of the pain within a few hours of taking the first dose?

I was started on Prednisone in August when Lupus was diagnosed. After a 2nd opinion and literally 100 separate diagnostic tests , Lupus is ruled out your with no current diagnosis for my ongoing muscle pain. Now I am weaning off Prednisone because there’s no reason to keep taking it for the diagnosis “ I don’t know “
