Im 70 and cut off from adderall after 20 years. The result is my depression and anxiety returning. I understand the risks but they out way the benefits by far. I would rather live a shorter life with quality of life to the end. Its a no brainer. Ive tried everything! A stimulant is the only thing that works. Please help

I’m 70 and still take Adderall.

Drs are more afraid than concerned! Drug companies don’t conduct clinical studies for Stimulant medications on 60 yr olds & warn against due to BP & Cardiac changes related to age .
It stinks

@blackie1234 Hi I've had ADD most of my life diagnosed originally when my son was 8 about 30 years ago. I was in the military so being on at the time Imipramine( which is not used anymore but worked for a while) until the Military raised concerns about it so I went off of them and just managed the best I could.
Now 66 and am finding I am more forgetful of short term things I've gone on Atomoxetine 40MG if this works out as I'm also a heart transplant patient and doesn't cause other problems it may get increased to 80 MG which is the suggest dose for me. But long story short this one is considered a non-stimulant type. Ive noticed a small change so far as i've taken now about 3 weeks. So anyway another medication that may work in your case. Maybe talk with your doctor about it.
