When did you start Lenvima (lenvatinib)? Is it helping to reduce the metastastic lesions in the lungs?

I started Lenvima and Keytruda in May of 2024 in approximately 4 months after my cancer was gone. The only problem was that on a day that I was supposed to undergo a routine outpatient surgery (approximately 10 months after being in both treatments) the doctors discovered my heart was not functioning correctly. The procedure was canceled. After many procedures to check my heart it was discovered that my heart had weakened and its functioning was at only 20%. The doctors believe that the immunotherapies (Lenvima and Keytruda) destroyed my heart. I was taken off both treatments for approximately 4 months and now my cancer is back. I was put back on Lenvima at a higher dosage and have not started the Keytruda. The doctors want to wait and see how my heart does before they start me on both (Lenvima and Keytruda) together. Lenvima being taken daily and Keytruda every two weeks. I have experienced a lot of side effects but the worst is my chronic back pain had gotten intolerable and it makes my life miserable. I am being treated for the pain but the medications are not working. I am sick of so much pain. I hope others don’t have to go through what I have been dealing with. If I can help anyone I would be glad to help. God bless you all out there. Hang in there we can do it!!!!

Thank you Colleen for taking the time to write. I feel so alone at times that anyone reaching out is appreciated.
Thank you.
