To all those who took the time to reply and share their experiences, thank you so much. Truly appreciate it.
Those who achieved NED, what an amazing achievement and outcome. It makes my heart smile and brings so much hope as well.
For me, it was just a routine exam where small skin tag in vaginal canal was notices. Based on my history, further tests (CT Scan, PET Scan, Bioposy) confirming lung nodules to be similar to endometrial samples.
Did initially recommended Chemo (Chemo + immunotherapy - Texol, Carboplantin, Pembrolizumab), 6 cycles.
I did face some Chemo side effects (typical 6-7 days feeling worse and then somewhat better until next treatment at 3 weeks mark), constipation, fatigue, hair loss, blurry eyes, etc
Now, just on Immunotherapy. Just one treatment almost 6 weeks ago and it seemed harder than even Chemo treatments.
Not sure what all I am feeling (fatigue, loss of appetite, weight loss, hearing issues (tinnitus, ear fullness, etc), numbness (fingers, toes, left leg more than right, left hand more than right), red/burning tongue symptoms, anxiety, chemo brain/mental fog, etc are side effects of Cumulative Chemo effects or Immunotherapy effects?
Took 6 months of Disability Leave. As time approaches to return to work, anxiety levels are high on how that transition back to work will go, especially feeling of chemo brain. I have to work from financial and health benefits, both aspects. Need health coverage to continue on with treatment.
Hoping & wishing that Keytruda will do its magic in reaching NED state. Also, taming down my anxiety. I really need this miracle. 🙏
Is the immunotherapy that you're on now different from what you were taking along with the chemo? Did your tumors shrink while you were on chemo plus pembro/Keytruda?
