Prolia to Evenity

@2reddogs

I am following your post. I have been on Prolia for 5 years and due to a recent 3-month holiday due to dental implant surgery and the risk for fracture my rheumatologist recommended Evenity for a year followed by Reclast to "buy me some time". She gave me an Evenity pamphlet to read; it wasn't enough for me to make a decision. I did not feel comfortable with the possible side effects or the change at that time, so I scheduled my Prolia injection. The morning of my injection I had a compressed L-1 fracture. I am doing well, back walking 2-3 miles daily and I am in physical therapy strengthening my core. My next Prolia injection is due in June, I am trying to read and research as much as I can beforehand so that I can make the best decision going forward. I am 71, in good health otherwise. Wishing you well and I remain hopeful we both receive help with our decision making. I will keep you posted on my journey.

Thanks for the info. I’m so sorry to hear about your fracture. But great that you’re healing well!
Im 67 and was on Prolia 5.5 years and relayed to Fosamax 6 mos ago. I had a T7 vertebrae fracture last mo and a T6 fracture last week. My other endo wants me to go to Reclast. But the longer you’re on these drugs, the higher, the chance of the dreaded ONJ or atypical femur fracture. But then if Fosamax not strong enough, I could get more vertebrae fractures. Very stressful and of course I wish I had never started these drugs.
Yes let’s keep each other posted on this journey 👍
