My husband has used gummies for nausea and appetite. He has mets to the lungs, so has not tried smoking anything. He's trying a tincture for sleep. But we are still trying to determine which work best for him.
The doctor did prescribe mirtazapine to stimulate appetite and he feels that has helped with eating.

@sheridanb glad to hear the Mirtazapine has helped. My husband just started on it 2 days ago. He was on Zyprexa with no increase in appetite after 3 weeks. I asked them to switch him to Mirtazapine. I understand it can work pretty quickly, did you notice increased appetite after a short time? We did stop at a dispensary on the way home from chemo the other day and they were very helpful. We have not started the gummies yet.
