Hello. I’m a 43 yr old female recently diagnosed with AIN III and HPV. I went to my gastro for what I thought was an itchy hemorrhoid and once removed, found it was a skin tag and polyp. With the polyp were smaller ones, one of which is where the AIN III was found. My surgeon used the word benign when delivering the news. I’m very early in this diagnosis, scared and worried. I’m waiting for a specialist to call so we can schedule a high res scan. Can anyone who’s been at this stage let me know what your next steps were or what were the best questions to ask your doctor?

No need to be too concerned. It's a benign condition that can be treated relatively easily however these cells are abnormal and are unlikely to change so they need to be removed. I hope this article helps you
