We stayed at Help in Healing Home for ~120 days in 2023 while my husband had a stem cell transplant. I cannot recommend it enough. The people who work and volunteer there are compassionate and eager to help. There’s a small park/picnic area adjacent and some beautifully maintained trails nearby. The buildings and grounds are beautiful, with plenty of community spaces as well as places to find solitude (and watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets) if you want it. It was so convenient for me to be able to walk to the hospital while he was there, and, as he got stronger for him to walk to and from his appointments as well. We made friends there who we still keep in very close contact with! All in all, it made a very difficult time in our life much easier. I don’t think they will let you make a reservation until you have something scheduled, but I think you can still get on a waitlist. Definitely get your care team to call for you. You might not get a definite answer from them until a day or so before you need to be there. They are adding a new building in 2025. I’m happy to answer any other questions you might have!

Thank you! I was curious how far in advance they tell you; I understand they can't give a ton of notice. Did you book for a hotel just in case you didn't get the call from them?

His surgeon put in a note yesterday and said his team will put in a request for us.
