Hello @jocat74,

It is always wise to consult with a NET specialist. Mayo Clinic has NET specialists in all three of the locations. Here is a link with appointment information, http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63.

I can understand your concern as I have had three surgeries since 2003 for NETs in the upper digestive tract. It has been frightening every time and I also worry about recurrence. However, over the last 20 years that I have been on this journey with NETs, new treatments have become available and many are living with NETs for a long time. For me, the only treatment I have needed is surgery.

How are you feeling now?

Hello,
I am feeling fine except for a 20 lb weight gain that seemed to happen over night. My doctor said I need to get back to “living”, to start traveling again, start walking again instead of hiding in my apartment. I went back to Weight Watchers and have been walking at the local gym but I feel this weight gain has something to do with NET. Is that possible? One of the symptoms is weight gain in the belly and upper back, exactly where my weight gain is but this happened after the surgery.
