Replies to "It's an image of a "windy shore" :)"
More than a year ago my OB/GYN sent me for my first DEXA. She told me, "Don't worry, it'll come back with an osteopenia diagnosis like most of my other patients your age. You're doing everything right." Two days later, she called and said, "I can't believe it, You have severe Osteoporosis. Whatever you do, don't fall!" I was panicked.
The first thing I did was look for a book to read. I found Mayo Clinic on Osteoporosis: Keep your bones strong and reduce your risk of fractures. In it I found a reference for Mayo Clinic Connect. Then I happened upon Windyshores...a voice of calm. Dare I say a port in a storm? I also found many other voices here...ones who also supply references, research-based information, and options.
I am so appreciative of all those voices. With all my heart I thank all of you, and with all my heart, I hope to "hear" from Windyshores again.
