I am 70 years old and have over last 15 years been on Fossamax , actonel and now Evista., with breaks in between

I also have osteoarthritis - Interested to know what type of HRT you are all referring to and impact it has had .
Not commonly used in Australia for osteoporosis

Mine started with .025 estadiol patch aling with 50 mg of progesterin. After 3 months the OBGYN upped dose to .050 with same progesterin. Also a script for physical therapy for exercises that address osteoporosis and encoragement to begin Calcium suppliments. Will know more with next dexa scan.

We all are using slightly different HRT. I am using compounded estradiol and testosterone and 100 promethium. I use transdermal. I feel so much better. Hormones facilitate muscle and bone growth. I am on Tymlos for two years. I had one reclast infusion and will have 2 more ( maybe it is 3, I forget) annually and then I am done for life I was told. I am 68 currently. I will stay on the BHRT as long as all tests look good. All of these things come with some risks and my family history of cancer and heart disease require periodic observation. I hope that helps.
