Evista (raloxifene)

Anyone have experience with this drug? My insurance will not cover the IV Boniva until I have tried this or oral biphosphonate. My dr wanted me to stay away from oral due to my gastrointestinal issues.

I’m 74 and have used generic Evista for years with no side effects. I also take Vit D. Dexa scans have improved from osteopenia to normal numbers.

Thanks. I just started Fosamax and get back pain. Don’t know if from Fosamax. Insurance will only partial cover Evista so I will see.

I took Evista for two years, after having had breast cancer. Had to stop because it gave me a mini stroke.

I have just started Evista - taking 1/2 a pill each day - for 4 months then endo is running tests.
Have been on Actonel previously for 3 years at 1/3 of normal dose and this was very effective together with exercise ( weights with an exercise physiologist) .
I am interested in others results from Evista and any side affects

I have. Have been on Evista about 7 months. Mild flashes in the beginning but none now. No other issues so far.
