I could use some encouragement

I had surgery on 1.23.25 at United Hospital in St Paul for a resection of a tumor that was removed in 2000. Imagine my shock after 25 years!
When I met with a doc at Givens at Abbott, ai was told that there was a second tumor that no one ever told me about. Now I am headed to Mayo in Rochester for a 2nd opinion.

You are headed to the right place. I had a pituitary adenoma and went to Mayo Rochester for second opinion. Surgery on the 6 February. Still healing reminding myself of God’s new mercies everyday.
Excellent team of care givers: Maria Peris Celda, neurosurgeon and Jacob Eide, ENT.
I can’t even begin to imagine your feelings. Grateful you have made the decision to have the second opinion

Good call. You need a real tertiary center with neurooncologist back up. Oncologist neurosurgeons are a rare specialist. Mayos has both.
