Is it difficult to get an appointment with Mayo in MN?
I wanted to know just how difficult it is to get an with Mayo in MN? I tried the campus in FL (which is only 3 hours from my home), but was told they’re not taking any appointments at all!

How did u send him a letter....email or mail?
I'm 2 months out from getting an appointment,
They said a bunch of doctors retired so they had to reschedule a lot of people
@kritter19 I applied to Mayo on the website which led to a call from the intake office. In talking to them, I requested that my records and inquiry be sent to Dr. Fogelson. They created an account number which is important because anything sent to Mayo needs to be placed into that patient account. I sent a letter to him with my imaging describing my case and symptoms with the diagnosis being missed by other surgeons. Dr. Fogelson will review records and imaging from his network access at Mayo, so that is why it needs to be done officially. I don't think just sending a letter to a doctor will result in an appointment. You need to go through official channels. You may use this link to get started with the web request. http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63
I tried 2x to get an appointment but was rejected both times. Even though I’ve had 6 spine surgeries (for scoliosis) and, basically have constant back pain, I was hoping to get a 2nd opinion from such a respected institution, in hopes of maybe finding some relief from the pain.
However, I pretty much gave up after that last rejection.
@wascaly I'm sorry you request was rejected. You could try a different campus or wait and try again. Another option would be to try the Mayo Clinic Health System. When I had my surgery with Dr. Fogelson at Mayo, he was mentoring a neurosurgeon named Meghan Murphy. Here is her profile in the Health System.

Thanks very much for this info - I’ll certainly give it a try!
