OK, that changes the picture. If it has spread as you mentioned, then hormone therapy is pretty much essential. Not just hormone therapy you also need a second drug like Zytiga or One of the lutamides. Ask your doctor What they recommend. You want to stop this from growing.
The proper treatment he can live for many years.
