Hey there,
The person you need to love most is yourself. Look in the mirror every morning and say “I love you.” No your not perfect. Even if you had a phd you wouldn’t be perfect, you’ll never be (Don’t expect the impossible) nor will any other human being, (not even me, shocking huh, I’m amazed too, lol !!!) Laughter has been proven to be very beneficial for depression. So laugh away.
Even if I had a PhD I still couldn’t do my dream job of being a pilot because of my seizures.
You have helped plenty of Connect members and that is quite an accomplishment in itself. You should be very proud of helping others. That’s a very major part of life, if not the whole point of life itself. congratulations kid!!! If you never do anything more than what you have done here on connect your a success and don’t you ever think otherwise.

@jakedduck1 I'll try to keep that close to heart. I get so wrapped up in my insecurities that I can't recognize the good. I get to the point where I dismiss everything useful I do as just luck and everything bad because of my own shortcomings.

I have always struggled with loving myself. For most of my life I thought I was fundamentally unlovable. It wasn't until after I came out in college that I could face myself in a mirror. It was terrifying but worth not lying to myself anymore. I've been working on self acceptance ever since.
