Disc-FX procedure and the MILD procedure

Your guess was absolutely right. My doc says he does separate procedures because he finds it is easier on the patient. Medicare apparently will approve it done that way.

BTW, I also have facet and foraminal stenosis (in addition to central spinal stenosis), and would not have known that MILD can't correct those problems if it had not been for you mentioning it in your post! I am SO very grateful to you for that. Because of the information you posted, I was able to question my doc more closely about what MILD actually could accomplish in my case, and he said the procedure likely could diminish my pain by 50 percent. A bit of a disappointment -- I had originally been under the impression that it might take care of all the pain. But at least now I've got a more realistic expectation, and it's thanks to you. 🙂

You’re welcome BayHorse. I was given only 40% improvement but I wanted to see what actually happens. Today marks 2 weeks for me since I had the procedure. No improvement at this point but I can now get in a pool and walk easier to begin to straighten my legs. Doc wants me go slow for awhile. Keep the faith.
