Is my statin causing peripheral neuropathy?

I've read this entire scary thread. I'm 77 and have been taking statins for 38 years (Zocor, Lipitor, Crestor and now Livalo). About 5 years ago, I developed the numbness and tingling in my feet. About a month ago, pain developed in my feet. I'm not a diabetic. Getting out of bed and walking around, then applying some Linocain helps to quelle the pain. But it can be excruciating.

I decided to cut my Livalo by 60% and wait to discuss it with my PCP and Cardiologist next month. I take R-fraction ALA, Benfotiamine, D3, B Complex and Omega Fish oil daily. I do 6 foot exercises and have one of the spikey balls.

I know I can't live with this nighttime pain if it increases further, and although my heart seems fine now according to the latest stress and echo tests, I don't really want a disabling stroke or Heart attach either!

I didn't see many respondents to this thread who have taken statins for SO MANY YEARS, so I thought I would offer my story. Comments would be appreciated.
