What you describe sounds exactly the way I live my life. In 2007 I was at Mayo Clinic in MN to deal with digestive issues resulting from radiation treatment to my abdomen and pelvis years prior and one of the departments I was seen in was psychiatry. It was then that I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. I didn't pay much attention to what that meant but it definitely made sense since I'd been an anxious person all my life. It wasn't until a few years ago when my physical health was really declining that I googled what GAD actually means and it means that it's not one specific thing that causes your anxiety, it's EVERYTHING. Generally everything causes me anxiety. I'm still trying to get a handle on it since the worsening of gut health can fuel the worsening of mental health issues through the gut-brain axis. I'm not sure if you've seen a psychiatrist but I think it would be a good idea because there are tons of medications and medication combos that can be effective at helping you cope with your mental and physical health. Praying that your results do not involve MM. 🙏

Could not agree more. On my care team is a psychiatric medication specialist who works with my other doctors to address mental health and medications.

Mental health and things like anxiety play a dramatic role on physical health. Physical health plays a dramatic role in mental health. Thus, we need to address and treat both.
