Hello I'm dealing with prostate cancer and will have surgery in two days. It's in my pelvis and lower back. I had my surgery delay the first time and now I await my surgery this Tuesday. When I get up I have soreness in my pelvis and back. I sleep on my left side as it's hurts to lie on my right side. Here in Canada I'm covered by ohip which will cover my surgery plus I have great benefits . Hoping I can get rid of cancer as lm only 63 and have my family and my wife to help me thru it.

Hey buddy, so sorry for your situation. What type of surgery are you having? I would think prostate removal is not indicated in your situation if it has already spread to your bones?
Have you been placed on ADT?

Hi,
I am also from Ontario, and learned just last Friday, Feb 14 that I have an "unfavorable intermediate" prostate cancer. My urologist ordered a bone scan and a CT scan to determine if the cancer has already spread to other parts of my body.
My Gleason score is 8, and PSA is 10. I'm 68, are these numbers a lot worse than yours? If so, I am afraid that it's more likely my cancer has already spread and surgery might not help.
I wish you a good outcome from your surgery on Tuesday, Feb 18.
