Hi Serenafix
The radiculopathy was confirmed by a neurologist after viewing my MRI of my back, The
neuropathy symptoms started after I had sciatica. The Neurologist referred me to Pain Management. I had the nerve conduction? test as I previously related and he tried an
epidural which didn't help a all. He said there was nothing that could be done except pain manegement.
I have been going to a chiropractor style PT and so far it is getting progressively worse.
so will inquire about the MRN suggested here but don't know if they have that type of
specialist at Cedars here in L.A.
Let you know.
Mine was the nerve test, not sure what they called it.
1st time thy stuck needles in & shot a little electricity to it & made my leg jump. 2 time stuck patches & wires on my legs. The computer showed what was going on with my nerves. The technician had the bed side manners of a Cucklebur under my saddle blanket. I never got much information out of him.
EMG. Never give up, stay as active as you can do what exercise you can. What ever you can do will help.
I just had a positive MRI for T11-12 focal herniation with cord impingement. My feet have been numb (worse on right) with neuropathy and have had balance issues since mid Dec.
First ER visit on Sept 29th, CT was normal. Been pushing for a MRI since then and PCP and another doctor wouldn't approve it. They finally referred me to Neuro and that doc was like, I think you herniated a disc.
Now I have a referral for another more detailed MRI, and to a neurosurgeon.
