Since I was much younger than you upon diagnosis, I am not sure the medication actions were the same but I did find this to be true while on anastrazole for 10 years and even after stopping it.
I have to watch my sugar intake carefully or my glucose test will come back high.
I also started having cholesterol issues, this has continued, with a maximized statin this stays under control but I hate the side effects of that too. Haha
I had a cardiac calcium CT to make sure that I wasn’t getting blocked arteries and it came back clear.
I had to pay cash for this test but it was worth the peace of mind for $180.
I can’t say for sure this is all from anastrazole but I was in my early 40’s and very, very thin and active at the time.
Have you talked to your doctor at all about this? Did you have high glucose or cholesterol prior to beginning therapy?

I did have high cholesterol and elevated b/p prior to anastrozole therapy. But, both were well-controlled with statins and hydrochlorothiazide. Since having to give up HRT due to BC, all these meds have been replaced, increased and adjusted, but it doesn't seem to help. And the addition of anastrozole seems to have made them useless. Maximizing the dosages causes dizziness for me, and I become concerned about driving. I was wondering if there was another anti-cancer drug that doesn't exacerbate these conditions as much. I do discuss it all with my MDs, but they don't really veer from what's prescribed for these conditions, toxic as they are. BTW, my diet, though not vegan by any means, is reasonably healthy. Small portions, two good meals daily. Light snacks...mostly fruit, very little red meat monthly, etc. It's very frustrating.
