Hi,
I am a 69 year old diagnosed in Oct 2024 with stage 4 prostate cancer metastasis. PSA at diagnosis was 600. Gleason 8. Very healthy and work out a lot. Put on ADT and PSA dropped to 300 and then to 8.2. Then Zytiga was added to the ADT. PSA went down to 0.2 and now at 0.1. CT Scan in Oct 24 showed lung mets. Follow up CT Scan Feb 2025 showed near resolution of the lung mets. I have Kaiser and trying to get any information out of my oncologist is difficult. He also canceled 2 appointments because he was too busy. Tried to put me in a clinical trial which I did not want to do and when I declined the clinical trial he kind of lost interest in my situation just saying your PSA is undetectable you are doing good. I've never seen this oncologist in person everything is just phone calls and emails. I have medicare and thinking I need to find another oncologist. I am in the bay area in northern Calif and if anyone knows a great oncologist around here I'd sure appreciate it. And how hard is it to transfer all your stuff that you have already done over? I'm hoping to get some radiation and not just sit here in this state until things get worse. I'm just not sure of the treatments and the doc is starting to be a let down. Thanks all

Yes, absolutely get away from this oncologist and go to a large cancer hospital and consult with a radiation Oncologist. I don’t live there but I am certain there are plenty of doctors who can help you.
Records are quickly and easily transferred these days - you sign a few forms for both the sender and the recipient and your records are digitally transferred in a few hours or days depending on how lazy the support staff is. Best
