Good to hear that in some cases the big 3 are not needed!
Hello Nancy-
I am happy to hear you have been able to avoid the antibiotics.
I am 82 and 4 months into life and have not started the antibiotics for MAI, my choice.
Going on a little over two and a half years of having been diagnosed with BE and one year and four months of knowing I am living with MAI.
Questions: If you have time to answer.
How long have you had a diagnosis of Bronchiectasis, BE?
Have you ever produced sputum to be tested for a MAC infection?
Do you have a MAC infection?
If you have been tested for MAC and have a MAC infection do you know what type of MAC it is?
If you have been told there is MAC infection, how long have you been able to either have cleared it......or have had it and keeping it low/at bay?
Hope your Valentine's Day is filled with lots of smiles.
Barbara
