@adam08

I am sorry to hear about your compression fracture, but wanted to encourage you to stay the course of tx, as you can heal. I, too, have a fracture on L1 at 50% from 1 1/2 years ago. It is chronic (meaning it has healed at 50%. I have also had 2 other compression fractures, both thoracic. One was at T 9 and last year or about 9 months ago, I fracture T6. All fractures occurred due to a fall of some sort at home. I have learned so much. I, too, was not diagnosed with osteoporois until I had the frist fracture about 2 1/2 years ago. But, I am healing. I am on Tymlos, a daily injection for 2 years to strenghen my back and I do feel stronger. I also do spinal decompression at my chiropractors office, however, I could not begin this until I healed. Likely the best medication for you will be Boniva or another med in that class. Prolia is good too. You can read about these on the internet. I was not strenthended by the Boniva and because of so many fractures, Tymlos is best for me. Don't give up. You can heal!
