jessbright,
maybe your Stanford physician would get you a sample Forteo pen to see if you really need to tolerate the pain (and to test their theory). Forteo is 20mcg, Tymlos is 80. Some who cannot tolerate Tymlos don't have any trouble with Forteo.
Tymlos has a preservative that can cause reaction.
Maybe 5 clicks is your max.
Tymlos leaves the body fairly quickly (24 hours) I'd guess that one or two days would tell you whether the medication is causing pain.
Forteo is 20mcg. Tymlos is 80mcg.

I just picked up the Forteo so will be starting on that soon. I had actually thought it had more than Tymlos not less, so this makes more sense. I also didn't know about the preservative possibly causing reactions so that's helpful. Hopefully this will be better!

Thank you @gently. Those are really great suggestions. I also didn’t know about the preservative in Tymlos. I guess that’s why it can be out of fridge. Trying a sample pen of Fortreo is something I wouldn’t have thought to ask. I really appreciate the advice and experience here!
