It's Almost offical
Completed my second biopsy and they found a small lesion in my prostate. It could be cancer or it might be something else. I get the path report on Friday and surgery, chemo/radiation will be discussed then along with other treatment options like ADT, etc.

Good luck.
From what I remember, anything over 1 cm is "a concern"
A biopsy is the definitive way to know.
@jayhall did you get a decipher test ordered from your biopsy material?
I did and I will have the results soon.
@jayhall. DO NOT RUSH INTO A TREATMENT YOU WILL REGRET . Take your time , as recommended in Dr. Patrick Walsh's book : "Guide to Surviving Prostate Cancer ." Get 2nd or 3rd opinions . Educate yourself on all your options , including all the Focal Therapy options .
As has been stated many times on this forum . Surgeons ( Urologists ) will recommend surgery . It's in their job description -- Radiation Oncologists will recommend Radiation . BE EXTRA CAUTIOUS ABOUT HORMONE THERAPY (ADT ) AND ITS SIDE EFFECTS , WHICH CAN BE PRETTY ROUGH .
Treatment choice (your preference & the urologist's) also takes into account your age.
Some side effects of some treatments are harder to live with when you're say 70+
I've been doing some research in Medical databases ( cinahl medline) etc and not going to rush into surgery. Once I know the Path results I'm going to make some decisions.
"Leave the chemo; take the radiation"
All good comments here; if your biopsy only showed one area of cancer and the other cores were mostly clear (Gleason 3+3 or hyperplasia) focal therapy - with fewer side effects - is also possible. TulsaPro is a good one but expect pushback from your urologist - they like to cut!
