My peripheral neuropathy. COVID March 2020, disabiling peripheral neuropathy, leg weakness and pain by early 2021. Raynauds Diagnosis March 2021. I have already commented on my HUGE diet changes. I forgot one important addition. My PCP said "you are getting older, so it's typical to become weaker with age" Except, I went from perfectly fine and 3 miles on the treadmill in 2019 to I can handly walk by March 2021. "The miracle of L-Proline" I'm not recommending any supplements, please consult with your health care team, however, I thought, after some research, "since Collagen breaks down when you get older, why not try collagen supplements". I tried several but they made me nauseous. I took a close look and the key to collagen synthesis is proline and hydroxyproline. For example, one scoop of Vital Proteins has 1038 mg of Proline. (you can't get proline from a vege diet, it comes from meat and I don't eat any red meat and just a little chicken. I started taking 1500 mg of NOW L-proline and within a month, my legs were stronger. Neuropathy was gone and in 3 months I was back on the treadmill. I close friend who had MM and is ten years in post cancer recovery has extreme neuropathy. He started taking 2000 mg L-Proline and within 3 months he was able to walk better. Again check with your health care professional before making any changes. Good luck!
