Dear mmsm,
Re Fatigue & Venlafaxine / Effexor w/drawal.
Extreme fatigue symptoms do not end after titrating off. I am 2 years clear after taking 4 yrs to titrate off from 75mg. I still get waves of extreme fatigue like you. Plus, other allergic side effects that come & go & return. Little evidence on the INTERNET, but it seems these legacy drug effects of effexor still in your system, can last for years after stopping. The average timeline being 4 years according to feedback iv'e seen. Question for MAYOCLINC subscriber's = Have you any feedback to offer on how long you have experienced legacy (post titration) side effects? after titration off. Regards

Are you able to still live your life at all normally, aside from the bouts of fatigue? It's one of my biggest worries, that I won't be able to go to my son's graduation, aside from anything else.

Rather than quit taking Effexor find an antidepressant that is well tolerated by your body.
Every medication out there causes side effects but there are ones that are better tolerated by each individual.
If you truly suffer from depression you need to be on something. Just continue to experiment until you find the right combination.
Sometimes you might need to find more then one to reach a good balance. Zoloft and Wellbutrin can work very effectively together. At one point my Doctor said they were prescribed so often they had a nickname for the combination. They called it Welloft.
Good luck to you.
