Did you have more migraines after ACDF?

Yes I am now 4 months post op and at first healing went great incision healed coming from and ACDR to ACDF C5 the migraines have become unbearable they say nerves have to heal but I lose vision almost everyday. The burning sensation in the back of the neck is enough to drive yourself over…. Let’s find the answer together

Hello! I saw this post and I have been trying to research to see if this is more common than I thought and my surgeon neglected to mention this. I thought I was basically the only person having terrible migraines almost every day. Seems to sort of help most of the time if I get off my feet. I am post op 4 months after disc replacement on c6/c7.
The relief was great until about 2 months after surgery and now just daily headaches sometimes so bad I can’t drive.
If you have found any relief methods I would be so very interested and grateful. 🙏They have me on Steroids, Gabapentin, Methocarbomal, and Ibuprofen. I only pray I could find a better way that truly helps

@falconsky Welcome to Connect. What I learned going through a C5/C6 cervical fusion is that surgical scar tissue tightens up a lot as the body heals. That puts a lot of pressure on your tissues and can generate a lot of pain or muscle spasms. My physical therapist did myofascial release on me to release this tension. if you look at this post in this discussion, there is a link to information.
