Yes I too have back and leg cramps when I’m constipated. I do powdered psyllium husk instead of the Metamucil as my doctor said it’s the same without the chemicals. I do a drink mixture of it after breakfast and dinner. But when it’s really bad I also add after lunch. I really helps! Also ask your Dr what easy exercises you can do twice a day even if just for 10-15 min. It gets things moving. Also I can’t handle prunes but I like fresh pitted medjool dates. They are a sweet treat but easier on the gut than prunes. Ask your dr to recommend a nutrition specialist. Best of luck to you.

I will I've been waiting months to get in to see her.. UGH

My doctor recommended 8 glasses of water daily at least, of which 2 glasses are with electrolytes in addition to adding more fiber. I usually have a smoothie daily for lunch and add 2 TBS of chia seeds - great fiber addition. For electrolytes, she recommended Quentin Hypertonic Sea Water - 2 tbs. followed by drinking a glass of water (tastes like salty water) which can be purchased on Amazon. And find an electrolyte flavored powder you can add to the 2nd glass of water.
If you exercise and sweat or live in a warm/hot climate where you sweat or in a cold climate as well as our bodies need alot of water to keep us warm, you need electrolytes plus additional fluid.
