ReClast: Warning and Dosage Variation
I was trying to find information regarding any options of taking different dosage amounts in place of the one-size-fits-all recommended dosage. I spotted something that I cannot find now. However, I came across this warning:
Conclusion
It is important that the potential patients receive sufficient information about the possibility of side-effects following the administration of intravenous zoledronic acid. To ensure that a zoledronic acid infusion is given as safely as possible, the safety information should include that the patient should not be left without monitoring for a minimum 24 hours after the infusion. Being alone and experiencing serious side-effects may lead to acute cardiac problems.

Thank you so much. I am thinking I need to get a second opinion at the Boston hospital I often go to for osteo and dermatology issues rather than this local rheumatologist. Even if it means delaying the treatment. I do low doses with other immunizations as well. Thank you so much.
Your post is very helpful to me. I have newly diagnosed breast cancer and osteoporosis. I too am very sensitive to medication. They plan to use Reclast to counteract the Aromatase Inhibitor to fight the breast cancer, which would be horrible for the osteoporosis. I am a patient of endocrinology at Mayo and wondered which doctor do you see there that was willing to do this?
They want t start therapy almost immediately, so if you could reply soon I would appreciate it.
Bless you for publishing this.
