I'm late to these posts, but I've had plantar fascitis for over two years. Dr put me in a hard cast that made it worse at the beginning of pain journey and then a walking boot. I'm a firm believer that these things DON'T do any good! Since then I've been doing everything the usual protocol recommends and still have it. In fact it's made my knee and leg hurt constantly due to the shifting of my gait. I'm so frustrated I just want surgery to resolve it permanently. I'm a little apprehensive about it so has anyone had the surgery?

Dear hipgranny,
I feel the pain you're going through. Only when someone 'walks in your
shoes' can they feel your pain. I have been there. Please try Arch Support
with velcro strap. Also, buy something called "Heel Seats" to put in shoes. That name alone should make you smile.
I previously wrote a comment a while back - and wish it could be
reprinted. In it, I wrote about my intense pain from Plantar Fasciitis
and the 'steps' I went through. Grateful to say, I am free of this 'happiness'.
So, hipgranny (you) from another 'hipgranny' (me) ... please try these
suggestions. These aids helped me and pray they will help you as well.
See you in the Ballroom! That would be grand simply to envision.
Good Luck.
