I have always had high readings since being diagnosed over 30 years ago. It just does not make sense that it is now running low constantly. That was why I initially posted it to see if this is normal. It almost seems like the readings will go down when I am sitting or in particular over night while I am sleeping. The alarm is very loud and seems almost useless since the readings are always 30-40 points higher. I figured out how to stop the alarms with the exception of when it goes under 60. My point being is that a 59 reading is really a 89-99 reading on a monitor. I was just trying to see if this is a normal thing and if there was any options to make it better. I am do to go for blood work this Friday and then get the results next Friday. I want to see if the results are in line with the CGM. According to it my A1C should be 6.1

For me cgm results are a lot of trial and error. I had to really work at figuring out why I got such wild differences in my cgm and fingerstick. For me, it was placement location. I ran 100 points off easy. However, when I switched to arm placement, it rarely happened. I still have a love/hate relationship with my cgm though……but, when it’s good, it’s good. Most of the time very close to fingerstick. I’d join the online diabetes community and gain all the tips from those who are doing this around the world. Apparently, some devices work better for some people than others. Have you considered pump treatment? I realize you are type 2.
