Doctor is GP & recommends Fosamax, Prolia or Reclast. Anabolics never mentioned.
Have been researching but a lot of conflicting info so the confusion :(.
Have started a list of questions & will be adding your suggested questions as well—thank you!
What do you mean by ‘sequencing drugs—have a graduated action plan in case initial medication doesn’t work, then go to next medication?
Last DEXA scan was 4 years ago—osteopenia diagnosis but no medication suggested at that time. Requested to have DEXA scan test done & the results now show (based on osteopenia borderline diagnosis):
4.7% decrease Lumbar Spine
7.6% decrease Left Femoral Neck (left total hip)
10.1% decrease Right Femoral Neck (right total hip).
Over ten years ago, had fractured tail bone from slipping on ice—healed w no problem but does ache at times.
Appreciate your input!!

Sequencing in this context means what drug comes after the one you start with. This should be something you discuss with your endocrinologist or osteoporosis specialist.
