@jabrown0407 first, I am so sorry that your mother went through this at an early age where dialysis wasn't even an option. You know too well what to look out for and I can imagine the "floating kidney" makes things a little more tricky!

I appreciate hearing your story and it did calm me down quite a bit. Hope you continue to move forward and do well. 81 is the new 60 ! Thanks again for your comments.

Sorry I am late to the party. Did you get to talk to your doctor and have some of your concerns relieved? I have dealt with PKD for several decades and had kidney panels done biannually. I found GFR can be adversely affected by dehydration, illness, UTI, excessive exercise, and many other things. Hope you are doing better.
