Hi Ed, It sounds like you have two vertebral compression fractures due to a fall, correct? If so, have you had diagnostics to verify the frax - which vertebra were compressed, etc? If the pain is bad enough that you need to return to bed after lifting, perhaps it’s time to consult with a doc and/or PT about giving those injuries some time to heal before putting more stress on anything that could be damaged. Fractures of this type are often very painful in their own right and putting stress on the spine by lifting may be delaying the healing process.

I’ve had four frax not all of them raised hell with me, but the ones that did were off the charts painful - if you haven’t already, see a medical professional.

I had the fractures cemented 1 1/2 years ago and went to PT and I will see a new doctor next month and will bring him up to speed.
