Ithere is so much controversy about bioidentical hormones but in my experience, I have had nothing but positive results if anyone does think of going on on these hormones, please find a good integrative medicine specialist. am also on bioidentical hormones and feel great so far. I have posted my journey before. I started on the creams more than 20 years ago and now have switched to pellet therapy. I can not wait for my dexa this Feb. It will be a year on the pellet. I can't believe my energy level and anxiety etc have improved dramatically. How are you now? My understanding is that micro progesterone can help create new bone density but progestins harm bone density. Don’t have a uterus but I do not tolerate estradiol well at all and micro progesterone most help menopause symptoms wise. But I don’t tolerate micro progesterone oral route, the first pass through the liver and metabolites. Only tolerate the caps used vaginal route or potent progesterone cream. But the commercial caps vaginal route better. I don’t have a uterus though.
Side note, I also started taking vitamin K2 with mk4 and mk7 for bone density and vascular health.
I've maintained for about 6 years. I recently increased my dose of estradiol and progesterone as I've had concerns with individual vertebrae losing density. I'm due for a dexa this year.
