Anyone here dealing with peripheral neuropathy?

I have been diagnosed by Mayo with peripheral neuropathy. I have foot drop and neuropathy in this foot. I have had lots of tests: MRIs, EMGl, NCS, lab tests. Abnormal findings are EMG, NCS, and Anti-ganglioside antibodies. I have been on this journey for about a year and a half. I will be starting a 6 month course of IVIg to see if it will alleviate my symptoms. Anyone else out there?

Hello @evigg208, Welcome to Connect. You mentioned that you have been diagnosed with Multifocal Motor Neuropathy (MMN) in your first post. @franksgirl210 and @artemis1886 have mentioned MMN in other discussions and may also have some thoughts. I thought I would share this video where Dr. Katzberg explains what MMN is, how it affects the body, what symptoms are common, routes of recovery, and what to expect post-diagnosis - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bV2YZw-AwME.

You also mentioned you have foot drop along with the neuropathy symptoms. You might find the following discussion started by @domiha helpful:

If you don't mind sharing, what is most difficult of your symptoms to manage?

I have drop foot. I have a different diagnosis than you causing my drop foot. It started with left foot and then the right foot a few months later. Should you experience a situation where you feel the front of your foot gets "caught" and would stumble forward. at that point, please make certain you get good medical advice. I now wear ankle foot orthotics (AFO's) to prevent tripping. Wish you the best with your 6-month treatment.
