Does Mayo endorse specific neuropathy supplements or cures?
I have just seen an ad that says Mayo Clinic endorses it product. It is called Nerve Freedom. Does Mayo indeed back that product??

I've had an EMG done by 3 different neurologists in the past 10-12 years, and while it's not exactly pleasant, it wasn't that bad IMO. However, I've been getting tattooed for 25 years now, so my pain threshold is probably higher than most other people.
It took those 3 neurologists and 2 neurosurgeons to determine that the neuropathy in my feet was idiopathic poly neuropathy, no cause could be determined, even after every test they could think of to try.
It's beyond frustrating.
Even though it's temporary, my wife sprays the soles of my feet with peppermint extract that we found on Amazon. It's comes from somewhere in England, and it's strong stuff.
When the pain and burning is really bad, it helps calm down the nerves, even if only for a little while. I'm very lucky to have a wife who takes care of me, even after working 40 hours a week at a job that she's been doing for almost 30 years.
She goes out of her way to help me when/where ever I need it.
My neuropathy ruined my life
Yes! I used Watkins Pain Relieving Liniment Spray for years before my Severe Axonal PN diagnosis and it ALWAYS relieved - to an extent - that painful burning on the soles of my feet. I'd explain this to my podiatrist and general practitioner and of course they were completely uninformed about PN and were convinced I must be rubbing it in and that the rubbing was what was helping. Now, years later and after my 2021 diagnosis via EMG, I'm taking prescription medications for the pain, numbness, and burning ~ but I KNOW that peppermint extract worked. Blessings to you and your wonderful wife!
What specifically is being prescribed?
I'm taking prescription medications for the pain, numbness, and burning
Where did you get the peppermint extract? Are you still using it? Does it continue to be effective?
I'm taking 50 mg. Tramadol three times a day (although my Rx allows for 50 mg. four times a day), and also 100 mg. Pregabalin three times a day. This has been for 3 years and is consistently effective against pain and burning but does nothing for numbness and cold feet. I wear wool shoes in the winter, and imbalance/gait are what I struggle the most with, probably because of the numbness. I hope you are finding some relief!
I had a home consultant of the Watkins Co. and also found the product for sale at Menard's. Watkins has a single kiosk display of some of their products here where I live in Iowa. I'd think that all their products can be obtained from an online source.
I'm not using it anymore because the prescriptions are effective but I'm confident that it would still work against the burning. Sometimes I sprayed it two or three times, letting it dry between. That burning sensation is awful, isn't it?
My wife orders it from Amazon, and yeah, it still works when I'm having a really hard evening, that's when it's usually at it's worst. It definitely helps calm down the pain, but it's only temporary.
I'll take anything I can get.
Can you give me the exact brand name so I can find it? Thanks.
