Nasal drainage can cause a metal taste in your mouth. Have you tried taking Benadryl or using a nasal antihistamine spray for allergy or nasal drainage?

I’ve tried a couple of prescription nasal sprays. One caused me blurry vision and I saw no change in taste issue. The new one helps with the runny nose, but is very drying. I saw no change in taste with that either.

I can’t take antihistamines due to my severe dry eye. But, I’d try it if I thought it could help the taste issue. I could try Benadryl I suppose.

I got the results of my sinus CT scan this week. I do have a deviated septum. Not sure how bad. Waiting on ENT opinion.

I just feel this is an olfactory nerve issue. It’s so pervasive. I’ll keep searching for answers.
