Many years ago, I was put on Vicodin for chronic pain. I know why people get addicted and I know why opioids have a bad name. For me that stuff was terrible. I was put on a couple other things that also were addictive feeling. Finally, I was put on the Percocet And that worked 100% for me. I would break up the pills into quarters. I found the lowest dose that knocked out the pain. As 2025 years have gone by I’ve only gone from a quarter pill to a half a pill. I have gone from two quarter pills pills to 3 half pills each day to manage my pain as my degenerative condition has gotten worse over the years. I also use a variety of topicals. Once in a great while, THC is the answer, I don’t like that feeling of being high or out of control, but it does relax my entire body when it feels like I’m nothing more than a bag of bones. At night. It has been particularly cold where I live here in San Diego and the dramatic change between dry to damp really does me in. The key is finding the right medication’s and taking the lowest dose possible, exercising to keep your strength, self massage, a diet, low and sugar, and a good team of doctors around you who support an aging body and its problems.
Can you please explain your statement? I don’t use it, but I have considered it. Do you have peer reviewed articles to support this? I would never smoke it. But have considered gummies or whatever form it comes in.
Thank you. Carolyn

I have tried all different types of THC drops but they didn’t relieve pain but it did help me sleep or calm me down, especially after these 3 weeks. I‘ve heard Kratom helps many people. Here’s a link to the American Kratom Association: https://www.americankratom.org/#!
Look up American Kratom Association if you don’t trust links (which you shouldn’t).
Like their web article says: “… there isn’t enough research yet…”
Need I say more?
There are a lot of questionable statements even in the Cleveland Clinic information.
More than trivial, they couldn’t seem to get the spelling right in their title. When I studied psychology & was taught how to thoroughly vet credible research sources, little clues like misspellings were considered suspect. If authorities can’t communicate accurately in their own language, it renders their opinions questionable.
Yes, the jury is still out officially, but perhaps it wouldn’t be if only credible research was published, the public was discerning enough to know that research has been limited for many reasons, including greed of big pharma companies & a war on drugs which was more accurately framed as a war of people of color & indigenous people. So basically, the lack of research is about control.

I would never smoke it either. I'd be coughing all the time. But I do have the tincture but I am afraid to use it because I live alone. I am already dizzy and have a constant headache.
I totally agree with you. Same issues, and I’m handling it by doing what you suggest.
I love it when we can validate each other!
Reading more research that marijuana has some serious side effects with long term use.
