Leg Weakness! And how to recover? And success with movement
Hello Everyone! Wishing everyone the best are struggling with Neuropathy! So I had lower back injury back in 2018. It pinched something in my lower back. It gave me numbness and weakness in my legs. I spent 3 years in a room because I couldn't understand how to gain the strength back in my legs. I finally left room and slowly gained strength back! It took months. And I lived with what I had for years. And I was grateful! Now I recently pushed my body to the point where I Overexerterd myself. I also feel I pinched whatever is wrong in lower back. So I layed in bed for a few weeks to recover. Which now I am having as much difficulty standing and walking as I had all those years ago. When I was in that room. I feel I am trying to give time for whatever is wrong in back to heal. But at the same time. I losing the strength in my legs. What I have started is. Getting up every 30 mins. Walk/stand for 5. Everyday is difficult because it's not consistent. Some days are better then others. If I push my limits to much I lose the ability to stand or even walk at all. It's frustrating. I have been here before. My body is telling me to rest. I am just sacred if I continue to lie in bed, it's going to make matters worse. Lesson learned. Listen to your limitations. Know what your body can and can't do! I recently researched Vitamins and supplements to take. Help heal nerves. If anyone has been here or has any advice. I'd deeply appreciate it.

Oh wow! Thank you, Kindly. I agree 100%
excellent! Means my time is well spent! 😉
My doctor is watching carefully and so far there has been no problem on any level. I have friends who have had problems with Motrin but so far I have not.
I doubt you can tell me that your vascular system have been tested “on every level” to know! When a stroke or heart attack shows up… or a gastric issue which can be debilitating for a very long time.. or an allergic reaction like I had, it’s too late. It’s not recommended for older folks. You should look up the terrible consequences of using Motrin at “high doses@ on a sustained basis. As you can tell- I am not a fan. The only reason some of these things stay on the market is politics and contracts and cheap medicine for people after my experience. I also got Vioxx toxicity. That stuff was left long on the market after it was found dangerous and caused heart attacks. Doctors recommended it all the time. I took that too!
I am sorry you have had such bad experiences. I hope the future holds better for you
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Dear @bennettrory & every one else,
Leg weakness: it’s usually my right-foot under my lower right-leg and falling down is to easy…
I fell down on my rear-ends that caused swollen-feet that causes by weakness, with, usually, my low leg.
DOES IT FEEL BETTER?
A feels better, but how long?
Thx,
Greg D. @greg1956
PS: I exercise each 3 times a week, including my legs, feet (by lifting up & down by holding my hands/fingers) then sitting on a table then lift each one. Then life my arms by 50 pound 20 time for up to 120 places. I’ve done this decades ago, but I’m a TBI member 12 years ago from my bicycle accident. Before my accident, I was lifting 80-100 pounds and today, I’m 50 lbs.

I STARTED MOVING! Leg Weakness Update!
Hello! Wishing everyone reading a wonderful day! I recently posted a post on my leg weakness a few days back. And I just started moving more. It's only been a few days but I definitely feel more leg strength. Now my problem is the NERVES. I lose feeling in my feet. Mostly heels. And my legs start to burn some. I was laying in bed for weeks. So now that I am moving again whatever is pinched in lower back is giving me some hell. I have to keep moving. And pray that my body levels out. It's been rough. I might give myself a few days of slowing down. But in all honesty I just wish I could get up and go. It's frustrating. Appreciate anyone reading and if you have any insights or advice. My last post everyone gave such helpful advice. Truly grateful for everyone.
just keep moving
