Im 51. Prostate was size 80 I had the surgery 10-16-24. Had the catheter in for six days. Two blockages from catheter. Very painful. Two UTI's since the surgery. The retro ejaculation is real and has no improvement. Still able to get and maintain an erection. I suffer daily with In incontinence. At least two trips a night to piss. My daily life includes never being too far from a toilet. About every hour i have to piss. Sometimes twice an hour. No improvement since surgery. Taking Gemtesa with very little effect for five weeks. The surgery has made my life more of a living hell than before i had it. I would be happy to answer anyones concerns. If you can avoid this surgery my suggestion would make it last resort. Your sex life will be over !!! I had the surgery in Dallas TX

I am so sorry for the issues you have had to work through. My experience has been totally the opposite . I hope you the best

@brianburns -- My surgery was on July 31, catheter three days, not much of a big deal really. Now, today is October 3 --- all this time, strong burning sensation at the tip when urinating but finally getting better this past week, pressure great, is and I can hit a wall urinal from twenty feet away, but twice a night I still have to get up, also some leakage here and there, and I better be near a bathroom at all times pretty much as it's really difficult to keep it in when I have to go. Sex-wise, zero change from before (as in, was good before and is good now in every sense) except that ... nothing comes out at the end, zero, nada, zilch -- the feeling of orgasm is good, normal, no change at all, but nothing comes out! Doctor says to wait and see - on all counts. But part of me is with you Brian -- it wasn't THAT bad before this surgery after all.
