This is all very individual. When diagnosed with osteoporosis I was in excellent physical condition; so it was truly shocking to receive the news. I think there is a common reaction to dial everything down out of fear. Since I have a good foundation of conditioning I lean toward weights; both weighted vest, lifting and resistance training now, rather than full on cardio as I had in the past. These are natural remedies that my body to date, has experienced no negative consequences. I will keep it up as long as I can. There is also the mental benefit that I believe is overlooked by the medical community.

hello @nannygoat5 ; reading your note it resonates with me. I am shocked as well, being very active, 53 and diagnosed with severe osteoporosis back in November. Honestly I am terrified of this diagnostic , but what I can do?! I refuse to take medication being so scared of all the side effects I have seen, hence doing more weights , 3 times /week and gave up running , while eating proteins and adjusting vitamins as good as I can. I think menopause have caused it for me (I am not on HRT) , plus lack of vitamin D which I neglected it probably for a few years. I am extremely sad and its comforting in a way to read similar stories , assuming I can learn from others too.
