Why do breast lumps grow rapidly?

I don’t know how many of you do this - but I take a photo and send it to the doctor through the patient portal. Photos of my breasts, bruised or swollen or rash, have been seen by any staff on my care team that has access to my portal. But, oh well. It’s been very helpful and can get immediate attention. When my breast was swollen the surgeon had me come in the next day after seeing the photo. Extra bruising shown on a photo? they said it appeared normal but gave me specific things to watch out for in case it got worse.

I’m 70 so I figure, really, who cares about viewing a 70 year old breast?! But for you younger women, just edit it down to only show the issue you need to share. It’s faster than trying to get an appointment and they can immediately see the problem.

@triciaot , thank you very much for this piece of advice. I think it would really grab the care team’s attention. So two days ago I went to the ER and had an ultrasound scan done, the Dr thought it could be an infection, but the scan didn’t show anything like that, then the following day I was scheduled in for an MRI, which I’m did yesterday but one, but to be honest, I’m afraid to look at the results which were sent last night because my mental state is really unstable right now given the fact that this all new for me, and dealing with so many other family issues🤦🏽‍♀️. So I decided to wait for Monday for when I’m supposed to see the oncologist. Please tell me I’m being crazy not to look at the results 😟.
