Just curious. Do you know why your doctor suggested unsweetened black licorice? I am not a doctor but was told to avoid that because of a drop in eGFR. I've pulled my eGFR up from 35 to 59 eating a diet that is heavily (but not totally) plant based. All other kidney readings were ok.
