I did not have Covid. The acid burn with the reflux did give me the metal taste, I lost my taste, but my smell was magnified and yes my mouth was dry and I used moisture stuff for my mouth as it was so dry and my tongue! My mouth and tongue burning made me physically sick as it would hurt so bad.

People think they have dry mouth from medications. How about when your tongue sticks to your teeth, all the time. And getting past the nausea has been a challenge. Yet my physician commented that I hadn’t lost any weight from it. Luckily I have a significant other that won’t let me get away with skipping a meal. While I’m eating I always thinking about getting rid of it, but in all honesty, I believe that an empty stomach makes the nausea compound. Feeding the beast gives some comfort.
