Chicken pox is the same virus as HSV?? I don't think so. Chicken pox is a varicella-zoster virus. So basically, this can be distributed simply by touching it? That would mean it's far more easily spread than we're told. In other words, if I don't wash my hands after normal use of the toilet and I shake hands with someone else, I have now transmitted the HSV virus? That would mean the person whose hand I shook, should he touch his eyes nose or mouth, now has Herpes. I don't think it works that way.

Herpes Zoster (Shingles)
Definition:
Herpes zoster is a viral infection that causes a painful, blistering rash in a limited area of the body. It is caused by the reactivation of the varicella-zoster virus (VZV), which also causes chickenpox. not the same virus, but the same family is my understanding. as I said, I am not a doctor.
