Looking for a breast Plastic Surgeon at Mayo Clinic

I have had a double mastectomy and expanders placed back on October 21, 2024.

I have had complications with my left expander since the placemat, seroma encompassing the entire expander and I believe capsular contraction (my surgeon called it scar tissue). I had my left expander removed on January 15th 2025 due to infection and the scar tissue. I am now waiting to see the surgeon this Thursday to have my drain removed.

I am being scheduled to start radiation without my expander being replaced. My radiation oncologist is telling me it is important to get the radiation within 3 months of my DMX because there is no data beyond 3 months to tell me my benefit of going through with it. So waiting to have the expander back in is not an option they are telling me. So I am seeking a second opinion from plastics to see what I should or shouldn't do.

Are there others that have experienced what I am going through? Am I on the right track?

My situation is different as I had DMX w/AFC. Emmanuel Gabriel at MAYO JAX did an outstanding job on mine. He is not plastic surgeon, but had extra training in oncoplastic surgery.
